Our investment in advanced, on-site induction furnace technology enables efficient and sustainable local re-processing of metals. Coupled with New Zealand’s extensive use of renewable energy sources, this significantly reduces the carbon emissions typically associated with importing newly processed or recycled metals from overseas. It also ensures a highly efficient, low-impact production cycle.

Over 99% of our re-processed ingots are derived from locally sourced scrap metal, underpinning a genuine circular economy that supports local industry, reduces environmental impact, and keeps value within the community.

For customers seeking greater transparency and environmental accountability, we offer Carbon Emissions Savings Certificates. These certificates quantify the emissions avoided by recycling through Hayes Metals. We also provide full traceability of the recycled material from the original scrap to its final use, whether it ends up in aluminium cans, bronze sculptures, or precision automotive castings.
